100 UK Graffiti Artists New Graffiti Book by Frank "Steam156" Malt & Old School Interview with Steam156 on ITCH FM

& Old School The Kool Skool Radio Interview with Steam156 on ITCH FM

IZ The Wiz R.I.P. & Steam156 in the Bronx early 1990's

Steam156 is well known as one of (if not the most) prolific Graffiti Documentors. He has been instrumental in the promotion of Graffiti in the European wide scene & one of the 1st Europeans to make links with NY & L.A. Artists as a documentor. He began documenting Graffiti in the UK in around 1986, was an early contributor to Phase 2’s iGTimes graffiti magazine, and went on to work as the Graffiti Editor at the legendary Hip-Hop Connection Magazine, Knowledge Magazine. He is also well known for his Graffiti Slide Shows and more recently, his voluminous site www.aerosolplanet.com, and the Aerosol Planet DVD series.

His 1st hard cover book 100 UK Graffiti Artists Graffiti Book has a release date end of November 2012 with a Retail Price of Approximately £37.50 $45.00

Book Description
"Simply opening these covers commits you to being dazzled by 100 of the UK's top "writers" and street artists, immersing yourself in the styles, past and present, which make UK street art great. Upon its arrival in the UK from New York in the 1980s, graffiti rapidly spread across the island, infecting the youth like a stylistic virus. Out of the early days came names that would become part of UK writing legend, such as Mode2, Zaki Dee 163, Choci Roc, Goldie, and Robbo. Alongside works by these pioneers, we sweep across the whole of the UK, taking in Scotland and Wales, running through the nineties and right up to the modern day when more advanced, technical graffiti, wheat pasting, and stenciling are the new media on the street. This collection includes works by Aroe, Skore, Xens and Kem, Mef, and more. Guiding us through this review is Steam 156, who was there at the start and is still as passionate as ever. This is a must-have collection for graffiti writers and fans around the world." - Schiffer Books Website

UK Hip-Hop Producer, DJ & Ex Itch FM Family, Ghost presents:
'A Tale of Life In VI Parts' EP

"They say the best music is created in times of hardship. Hardship can be many different things in many different ways but everyone experiences hardship in one way or another over the course of a lifetime. We all know music has the ability to influence the way people feel and for musicians it can be a way for them to deal with situations in life. Countless artists have produced music reflective of what’s happening around them, inside them, it’s the expression that’s important."

DJ Shucks One the Idiot presents The Kool Skool Radio Show “Legends From Queens Series” Part 1 – “Queens Survivor” Cormega in Interview

DJ Shucks One the Idiot presents The Kool Skool Radio Show “Legends From Queens Series” Part 1 – “Queens Survivor” Cormega in Interview @ www.sensei.fm

DJ Shucks One the Idiot presents a brand new Radio Show “Legends From Queens Series” Part 1, featuring exclusive never heard interviews with Shucks and legendary Hip-Hop artists. Part 1“Queens Survivor” features Cormega in Interview.

***Listen HERE***
***Alternative Mixcloud Link HERE***

Cormega is an MC from Queens Bridge Projects, home of some of the most influential Hip-Hop acts ever. In the mid 80’s Marley Marl and the Juice Crew were dominating the Hip-Hop landscape. What many people don’t know is that Marley recorded many of his classic records in his Apartment in Queensbridge Projects, and many of the Juice Crew members MC Shan, Roxanna Shante, Tragedy and others are from Queensbridge.

Although most people are familiar with the Mega reference in Nas’s song, Cormega’s first time on wax was in 1989, MC Cor aka Cormega as a guest on Legendary Queens Bridge Block Party DJ – DJ Hot Day on the Tuff City released Going Straight Up featuring early Bridge MC Arkim and Shahid

Originally supposed to be a member of the super group The Firm headed by Nas, he found himself replaced by fellow Queens MC Nature, and his is debut album release postponed. His first album The Realness was released in (2001), an experience Mega feels is a blessing in disguise, as it prepared him for his future as an Independent artist.

The show is exclusive to UK Hip-Hop Culture Station Sensei.fm

For much of the early 90’s, as Nas and Mobb Deep were blowing up, Cormega was incarcerated. Cormega should be known alongside the mid 90’s next generation of new talent, OC, Keith Murray, Mic Geronimo, AZ, Nas, Mobb Deep and others who succeeded in bringing back NY flavoured Street Stories and sophisticated rhymes.

Shucks One ID Presents both Classic, Rare Tracks and meaningful conversation with Queens Vet Cormega

The Show features rare old & new tracks by Cormega, Kool Sphere, Capone & Noreaga CNN, Blaq Poet, DJ Premier, MC Eight, Beatnuts, AZ, Al-Tariq (Fashion), DJ Hot Day, Arkim, Kool G Rap, Lord Finesse, Tragedy Khadafi, De La Soul, Black Sheep, A Tribe Called Quest, Mobb Deep, Big L, Mic Geronimo, MOP, Sadat X, Royal Flush, Fabulous, Freddy Foxx, Large Professor, Nas and more.

Cormega has recently released a new album with a full live band called “Raw Forever”, and has a serious back catalogue of albums and guest spots the show features. The “Queens Survivor” Cormega Kool Skool Radio Show special is only a small selection of his music, please support the artist by going to http://www.legalhustle.net and purchase his music.
