Planet Rock -The Story of Hip-hop & The Crack Generation Film

Planet Rock -The Story of Hip-hop & The Crack Generation Film
Watch the film here at the excellent www.hiphopisread.com
Very interesting break down of Crack Cocaines role in Hip-Hop's progression/regression, and the hysteria taken advantage for political ends in the 80's and early 90's. Film features Snoop, B-real, Pepa, nar Ice-T, Too Short and Wu-Tang and more. It does focus more on Crack and less on the music, but very interesting and revealing. Although it is unfortunate that the films title "Planet Rock" might confuse some people into thinking that there is a link between the 1982 song by The Zulu Nation's Afrika Bambaataa & the Soulsonic Force and the Drug trade, which there is not.
